The Ghost Tower, Bangkok Thailand
Sathorn Unique Tower, commonly referred to as The Ghost Tower, is an incomplete and abandoned skyscraper located in Bangkok's Sathon District. Construction of the building commenced in 1990, with plans for it to be a 47-storey luxury condominium featuring 600 units. However, financial difficulties and other unfortunate circumstances, including the architect facing charges related to conspiracy to commit murder, halted its progress. As a result, the Tower remains unfinished to this day. Over the years, numerous ghost stories have emerged, with some locals asserting that the building is cursed, claiming that anyone who enters will also be afflicted, as the land is believed to have once been a graveyard. In December 2014, a Swedish man was discovered hanged on the 43rd floor, with the cause of death ruled as suicide. A couple of Thai and Taiwanese descent visited a lift shaft in the tower to capture selfies, only to later discover additional faces appearing in the photographs. Despite its notoriety, the building continues to attract international tourists and urban explorers however.’ individuals attempting to trespass may face legal repercussions due to safety concerns. Currently, the structure serves as a large advertising billboard.
